A light version of the license within 12 miles to approach a large number of boaters who, for reasons of time, money and difficulty, give
up
on taking the license. The proposal comes from Assonautica Venice, of which Marino Masiero is president, but is
potentially
aimed at all of Italy! A mini nautical license, designed to bring even the youngest people closer together, but not only. An idea that aims to form a new generation of boaters more aware and able to go out to sea with greater safety. But also to approach an audience of boaters who, for various reasons, renounces the classic license, with a simpler one, but more
limiting.
Here's how it
would work. What does it consist of? Basically it would be a qualification to drive pleasure boats under 10 meters in length at the waterline, (boats), and engines with a power of up to 120 horsepower, for those over 18. A \ u201clight \ u201d version of the license within 12 miles to approach a substantial number of boaters who for reasons of time, money
and difficulty give up on taking the license. In this mini license there would be no correspondence and not even the study of lighthouses. The boat would be usable only during the day and within 3 miles from the coast.
The goal of Assonautica Venezia is therefore to create nautical culture by teaching the basic rules for safety at sea with a more accessible version of the classic license.
