Soar
Soar, the first renderings of this 105-metre megayacht designed by David Weiss are ready
To soar in English means "to fly" so Soar was chosen as the name for this superyacht inspired by large birds of prey and their elegance in flight. It is a desire expressed by an owner and seized on by the famous designer David Weiss.
The yacht's sleek black steel hull, developed in collaboration with sailing racer specialists, resembles the pointed shapes of a bird's head, while the internal and external structure takes its cues from their skeletons. The concave shapes of the upper freeboard widen overhead, providing unrestricted views of the sea below. This allowed for more space to be reserved on the upper decks, while maintaining a tight waterline beam, locked down at 14.3 metres.
The pointed shape of the bow is designed to ensure greater speed, efficiency and stability. Soar is intended to be a fast cruiser powered by hydrogen fuel cells. Its maximum speed is estimated at 30 knots (ie 55.5 km/h). In addition to the two helipads, one dedicated on the flybridge (pictured left) and a touch-and-go platform on the foredeck, it is also possible to accommodate a small personal electric quadcopter to be housed in a dedicated hangar forward. The interior design incorporates several layout options developed with the individual preferences of the future owners in mind. The double pool configuration includes an aft pool deck intended for family leisure and an owner's private pool on the foredeck. Shaped like a figure eight, the owner's pool has a current system.
