Probably the largest tender ever is that of Jeff Besoz for his Koru, the three-masted 127-metre long, 16-metre wide and (estimated) value of 500 million dollars.
For the super tender, Bezos chose an important name: Abeona, the Roman goddess who is the protector of departures, of children who leave their parents' home for the first time or who take their first steps. She was built by Damen Yachting, shipyard in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.
With a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, Abeona certainly does not have the purpose of 'sailing' on a long-range cruise: in fact, the two MTUs push her to 18 knots, sufficient to follow the sailing superyacht. His job is that of a gigantic floating garage where - beyond the helicopter platform - Bezos has stowed a whole series of conveniences and gadgets for his pleasure and that of those aboard Koru: there are supercars ( perhaps the Bugatti Veyron and McLaren F1 that are in his fleet, along with a vintage 1960s Volkswagen campervan), smaller motor boats, jet skis. A little gem indeed!
