For boating, September is a truly intense month full of nautical events concentrated between the French Riviera and Liguria:

The first stage to open in chronological order is the French one: in fact, since 1977 the Festival, hosted by the town on the CĂ´te d'Azur , has inaugurated the season of nautical fairs. For the 2023 edition, as usual, the event will take place in the traditional locations of the Vieux Port (where the space dedicated to motor units is set up) and the Port Canto (showcase for sailboats). The Innovation Village will also be set up in this second area, a space launched in 2021 to present nautical start-ups. From the point of view of the product, the Cannes Yachting Festival will not lack of novelties: in fact, the presence of over 600 international exhibitors and about 650 boats is expected, including new entries and renewed models. Finally, this year's novelty is the Small Boats area: it is dedicated to small boats, i.e. motor yachts between 8 and 11 meters in length, which are today one of the most requested by the market, in the Mediterranean and beyond .

We then move to Italy, from 21 to 26 September, for the second appointment, the one with the Genoa Boat Show, which this year reaches its 63rd edition. Organized at the Genoa Fair , a symbolic place that is increasingly connected to the city and is changing its face thanks to the grandiose project of the Eastern Waterfront designed by Renzo Piano , the Italian event will see over 1,000 boats exhibited according to a layout that re-proposes the tested multi-purpose format -specialist. In fact, the exhibition is spread over an area of over 200,000 square meters of land and water, with 85% of the areas completely outdoors. Thematically the Nautical sector is divided into five specialized areas: Tech Trade, dedicated to components and accessories; Sailing World, for everything related to sailing boats; Boating Discovery, a space designed exclusively for the world of outboards; Yacht and Superyacht Show for high and very high range boats; Living the Sea, an area in which sea tourism and services are on display.

Finally, as always, the month of boat shows will close with the Monaco Yacht Show, a nautical event that has reached its 32nd edition this year and is organized as always in the Principality's Port Hercule spaces . Different from and complementary to the other two appointments, the Monegasque event is dedicated almost exclusively to the world of superyachts. A sector which, however, interests both insiders and Italian companies a lot: just think that, again according to Confindustria Nautica data, in 2021 the shipyards of the Peninsula were market leaders in the production of yachts from 30 to 50 meters, with a consolidated positioning on semi-custom superyachts with an average length of 43 meters (we are talking about an overall value estimated at 14.4 billion euros, for which Italy is the leading producer with a 50% share of the total). A world apart therefore that which is discovered in the Principality, where not only the most luxurious boats on the planet are on display, but also all the exclusive services and accessories that revolve around them.
