NEWS,

1,300 boats at the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

A real show with great news

We can't help but talk about the 2023 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show! True, it's on the other side of the world but it's the largest international boat show in the world and it's open right now until October 29, 2023.

Located just steps from the beaches in sunny South Florida, the show spans nearly 300,000 square feet of exhibition space connected by an intricate network of land and water transportation services. Over the 5 days of the show, the show typically attracts over one hundred thousand attendees (about half from the rest of the United States and abroad) and 1,000 exhibitors representing 52 countries, with more than 1,300 boats on display. Below are some notable yachts:

Azimut's 15 yachts

Azimut is exhibiting 15 yachts, including four models that will be presented for the first time to the American public, which has always been loyal to the shipyard. Verve 48, making its debut in the United States, is the new sport-weekender designed by Azimut in collaboration with Francesco Struglia, who designed the interior and exterior. The Verve Series has been highly appreciated by the American market, selling over 110 units in 3 years. Verve 48 is powered by three 600 horsepower Mercury outboards which allow it to reach speeds of up to 50 knots. Another novelty for the US market is the Magellano 60, a crossover designed for long cruises and chosen for the first voyages powered by HVOlution, a biofuel produced by Eni Sustainable Mobility with 100% renewable raw materials which, combined with the high efficiency semi-planing Dual Mode hull , allows you to reduce well-to-wake CO2 emissions by more than 80% compared to a yacht of comparable size powered by fossil fuel oil.

The extensive use of carbon fiber

Also in Fort Lauderdale is the Grande 36M, a superyacht characterized by innovative design choices that create barrier-free environments, in particular the semi-walkaround upper deck that runs from the stern to almost the very bow on a single level. Furthermore, Grande 36M is part of Azimut's Low Emission Yacht family with its highly efficient D2P Displacement-to-Planing hull, designed by PL Ausonio Naval Architecture with the shipyard's research and development office, and extensive use of carbon fiber to lighten the weight of the superstructure. Also from the Low Emission Yacht family, the new S7, a super-light and technologically advanced sports yacht. Thanks to the combination of Volvo Ips three-engine propulsion with the most advanced naval architecture in the category, S7 offers maximum performance, guaranteeing a reduction in consumption and CO2 emissions of up to 30% compared to boats of the same weight and size with a sharp hull traditional and centerline.

Benetti's sustainability

Benetti is focusing on the American debut of Ubiquitous, the innovative Oasis 34M, and on the tested B.Yond 37M «Never Say Never Again». Made of fiberglass, Ubiquitous is spread over three decks and was born from the agreement between Benetti and the British studio Rwd, which designed the exteriors, and the New York architecture studio Bonetti & Kozerski for the interiors. Never Say Never Again is a voyager made of steel, spread over four decks, for an exclusive view of the sea, and is designed for long voyages. The super green B.Yond 37M features the innovative E-Mode Hybrid system by Siemens Energy which allows you to optimize energy consumption on board according to specific usage profiles, ensuring a strong reduction in CO2 and NOx emissions. This solution allows you to travel in four different modes, including Full Electric, for zero-emission navigation, an exclusive plus thanks to which B.Yond 37M can also access protected marine areas or areas prohibited to motor navigation.
