When Ferretti, last January, presented the designs of the new InFYnito 90 as a preview at the Düsseldorf boat show, it was easy to predict that within a few months an innovative vessel would arrive on the luxury yacht market, capable of meeting the needs of a rapidly evolving market.
Now that model number 1 is in the water, we can say, without fear of contradiction, that all commitments have been respected: in the presentation at the Cannes Boat Show last September the InFYnito 90 (the letters FY in the name stand for Ferretti Yacht) has come to the attention of the public as an absolutely cutting-edge product, capable of standing out from the first impact. This is thanks to the contents, but also to the stylistic choices aimed at proposing an unprecedented visual continuity between interiors and exteriors, as established by Filippo Salvetti, responsible for exterior design, and by the Ideaeitalia studio, which took care of the interiors . All - it is worth remembering - with the collaboration of the product strategic committee chaired by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group engineering department.
The layout is innovative, with outdoor and indoor environments that merge into a continuum that has no equal, creating large spaces that can be modified according to the wishes of the various owners. Which can still count, basically, on 100 square meters dedicated to outdoor living and 140 to interiors. But what strongly distinguishes the new yacht, beyond the innovative style and comfort ensured by the external and internal spaces, is the introduction of FSEA (Ferretti Sustainable Enhanced Architecture) technology, a package of solutions in full compliance of the environment.
Among the most significant innovations stands out an integrated system that combines the solar energy accumulated by the photovoltaic panels present on the superstructure with an Energy Bank, made up of lithium batteries, allowing autonomy of up to 8 hours at anchor in zero emission mode without the help of the generator set. In terms of energy consumption, this translates into an 80% saving in fuel and C02 emissions, for a typical average use from May to September.
As for the engine, Ferretti has decided not to venture into hybrids, and therefore the InFYnito 90 can be equipped with a traditional pair of MAN V12s of 1550 or 1800 HP, which ensure, in the first case, maximum speed 20 knots and 15 cruising; in the second of 22 and 17. That said, the commitment to reducing consumption and emissions has focused on the study of the semi-planing hull.
In terms of eco-compatibility, as mentioned, the focus was also on the use of green materials, such as ecological water-based paints and laminated teak with FSC 5 certification used for all external parts. But not only that: natural and bamboo fiber fabrics are also used on board the new Ferretti yacht; regenerated leather and recyclable materials.
Beyond environmental protection, a great deal of work has also been done on the distribution of spaces and the search for the best quality of life on board, starting with the possibility of choosing between three possible configurations and two moods available for the décor, called Classic and Contemporary.
The fulcrum of innovation is located at the bow, where the unprecedented "four seasons terrace" can be appreciated, an area covered by an original extension of the superstructure, which can be configured according to the owner's preferences, and in any case capable to ensure protection in all weather conditions.
On the first unit, for example, there is a Jacuzzi surrounded by a sofa, but alternatively this space can be dedicated to a panoramic cocktail bar. In all solutions, a large sundeck is positioned at the extreme bow and all terrace configurations can be interconnected with the adjacent internal area through a retractable electric window.
