We update you on useful information for the nautical sector by reporting data from "Il Corriere della Sera".

The Chamber approved, with the vote in the chamber, the provisions of the "nautical package" contained in the Made in Italy Bill ("Organic provisions for the valorisation, promotion and protection of Made in Italy") resulting from the discussion between Confindustria Nautica on Minister Adolfo Urso, the Ministry of Infrastructure and the speakers of the measure. The voted measures now pass to the Senate for consideration.
In detail, the "package" provides for the establishment of a fund for the scrapping of engines intended for boating aimed at the purchase of electric thrusters; the reduction to 7 days of the deadlines for the registration of boats and pleasure craft in order to make the Italian flag more competitive; the definition of the documentation that enables vessels (hulls smaller than 10 meters for which compulsory registration is not required) to navigate in the territorial waters of other EU countries. In particular Croatia, Slovenia, Greece and beyond, which from next summer would have been barred to "non-registered" people and who would have been required to register with all the burdens that this entails.
The establishment of a declaration in lieu of an affidavit is also envisaged, with signature authenticated by the motorist's telematic offices (STA), which certifies the exclusive ownership of the pleasure craft, in order to resolve the problem of the owners of "boats" who they voluntarily intend to register them under the Italian flag to sail beyond 12 miles from the coast, but they have lost or do not have a title. «Confindustria Nautica – commented the president, Saverio Cecchi – applauds this important result which will give further impetus to the competitiveness of a supply chain which already represents a flagship of Made in Italy and a growth engine for the country and which between The other comes on the eve of the Assembly of companies in the sector which will take place in Rome, at the ABI headquarters, on December 14th."
We will update you on upcoming developments.
