The Genoese professional nautical sector - from shipyards to marinas, from agency and professional services to technical supply companies - presents the numbers to document its weight and asks for space and attention.

The numbers of the study presented by The European house - Ambrosetti in the public meeting of "Genova for yachting" say that the sailing of large yachts in Genoa has started to run again in 2022 and the estimates for 2023 still confirm increasing values, even if the growth is concentrated on units within 75 metres, while it decreases over 75 and 90 metres, the segment which is growing the most in the world.

The numbers: in 2022 the turnover along the entire supply chain (+50% on 2021) rose to 512 million euros, with 2,500 employed, with a contribution to the Ligurian GDP estimated at 181 million euros, 1,800 touches of yachts and almost 70 thousand days spent in marinas and shipyards, 12 thousand crew members who lived in the city over the course of the year. 2023 will close with 550 million euros in turnover, 2,700 employees, and 79 thousand days of stay for yachts under 50 metres, while traffic for units over 75 meters will drop.
