A green revolution for the sea. Silent-Yachts has launched for the first time a solar electric catamaran in its Fano shipyard acquired in the spring of 2022. The first model launched is of the Silent 60 series. The solar electric system powers all onboard systems without the need for fossil fuels. For Michael Khler, founder and CEO of Silents-Yacht, the warranty for batteries and solar panels is "8 and 25 years respectively".

The vessel has 42 solar panels for 16 kWp of solar energy powering two 2 x 250 kW electric motors. The battery with capacity up to 210 kWh will keep it navigating efficiently and emission-free at up to 100 nautical miles per day for weeks. Not only that: the Silent 60 has four bright guest cabins on the lower deck (the different layouts allow you to have up to six cabins + a crew cabin), including a spacious owner's suite in the bow.

On board the social spaces are numerous: among these stands out a large main salon, the aft cockpit, the cozy bow area and the flybridge. Remarkable heights on board, which reach, in the main hall, 2.32 meters. With a draft of less than 1 meter, the Silent 60 can access shallow bays, a crucial aspect for cruises in the Caribbean and Southeast Asia. 

Two stern platforms can be extended at the request of the owner to carry two electric watercraft. The hydraulic lifting platform between the two platforms can carry a 4-meter tender. The solar electric system is configured to power all onboard systems without the need for fossil fuels.
