Admiral Megayacht GA 72

The king of Italian fashion, Giorgio Armani , is working on a new, obviously high-level adventure, the construction of a mega yacht that connects him to a very important piece of local tradition, that of shipwrights who thrived in distant years on the banks of the Arno, in Limite, engaged in the construction of boats. Crafts that had in themselves the sense of a challenge to the great river, which was taming itself, and of a bet on their own future, the one that the various types of 'products' built, with their ability to create income opportunities (both for builders than for buyers), made it less obscure. All on the basis of a navigable watercourse, which therefore gave rise to a whole series of economic activities. Then, as everyone knows in these parts, the Arno ceased to be a waterway to remain the local river, which could however become terrible during floods.

Armani has made his new initiative concrete by designing a yacht, in line with today's suggestions: a boat measuring 72 meters in length, 13 meters wide, with 5 decks and, just to adapt to the levels of the brothers, also a platform from which to land and soar helicopters. The interior, of course, is designed by the great stylist and therefore at very high levels of quality. The Admiral Megayacht GA 72 , as the model is called from the name of the Carrara shipyard of the company The Italian Sea Group, where it was built, will be ready for its still anonymous owner in 2024. And it is precisely if you go to take a closer look at how the group that gave life to Armani's fascinating ideas is made up and you can understand the link with the earth, or perhaps better, with the water of Limite. The company headed by Giovanni Costantino includes important Italian nautical brands such as Perini Navi, Tecnomar and Picchiotti.
