The Black Pearl has 3 carbon masts 70 meters high, with DynaRig rig (a particular high wind efficiency propulsion technology), capable of deploying approximately 2700 m2 of sails in a few minutes. It measures 107 meters in length and was built by the Dutch shipyard Oceanco, launched in 2016 and delivered in 2018. It is equipped with a hybrid propulsion system, as well as a large battery bank, features that make it more energy efficient.
