Sporty, fast, but also comfortable, spacious, elegant, well finished and, above all, built with obsessive attention to eco-compatibility. This, in short, is Nerea Yacht 40, one of the most interesting Italian innovations among those exhibited at the Boot in Düsseldorf , the largest indoor show in the world. According to Dario Messina, owner of the Nerea shipyard in Fano, "it is a model that marks the history of the company and will inspire the boating of the future". 12.29 meters long overall, with a maximum beam of 4, the boat presented as a world premiere by the Marche shipyard can accommodate 10 to 12 people on board and ensure 4 comfortable beds. The number 1 model exhibited at the German show adopts triple outboard engines for a total of 1,200 hp and is credited with a maximum speed of 48 knots. But the excellent performance, the elegance of the style and the care taken in the external and internal fittings are not everything: the attention dedicated to sustainability in fact represents the true added value of this new entry, emphatically defined by the shipyard as "the boat that breathes" . As? Thanks to the use of Ecopur.
What is it about? It is a natural, technological and eco-sustainable resin that allows the purification of the air. Nerea Yacht studied its applicability for the first time in the nautical sector and from here the intuition to use it for the internal coverings of the new NY40 Outboard was born.
Ecopur is not the only example of attention to environmental compatibility dedicated to the construction of the new boat. The large stern sundeck, for example, is covered in a seamless designer woven yarn that is highly resistant and sustainable as it is obtained from recycled plastic. And again: all the interiors, starting from the steps leading to the cabins, the walls, the curtains, the table and the bathroom, are covered in Ecomalta, to which Ecopur resin is applied.
Eco- compatibility is, however, only one of the qualifying aspects of the new Nerea Yacht boat: a great deal of work has also been carried out for the design of the V-shaped sports hull designed by Zuccheri Yacht Design, which promises exciting performance thanks also to the outboard engine entrusted , as mentioned, with three 400 hp engines, the Mercury V10 AMS DS XL. The choices made for the exteriors are interesting: the matt dark gray painting of the hull is combined with bronze-colored wrapping stripes which add a touch of refinement to the engine casing, the external glass frames and the waterline. The boat also features important customized elements such as the leather-covered dashboard, the levers placed behind the rudder which offer complete control of the vessel, from home automation to control functions, including the lights which give it an automotive-inspired charm.
For the first time on board a Nerea Yacht boat, the kitchen cabinet has doors covered in teak, while the raised windshield offers greater coverage from the wind during navigation. Another particular feature is the Besenzoni multifunction ladder-gangway, which allows you to go from the dock to the sea without problems. Below deck, the bow cabin features a spacious dinette, a small table in the center with movement that can be lowered, thus becoming the base for storing additional cushions and transforming the area into a sleeping area and two storage units, one of which is equipped with a TV 50''. The aft cabin, however, has two spacious and comfortable single beds, carpeted floor and bathroom. The colors of the fabrics and both internal and external coverings are warm tones ranging from sand to caramel, from bronze to hazelnut. In addition to the outboard NY40, Nerea also exhibited the already well-known NY24 Limo at the Boot in Dusseldorf, a 7.35 meter luxury tender which conquered the scene at the latest European boat shows in Cannes and Genoa
