Kraken
A real "water monster" ready to sail the seas at high speed, this is how the superyacht Kraken presents itself. The aggressive concept of a modern and luxurious catamaran that features four decks, a beach club, a helipad and accommodation in each hull.
Designed by the Swedish Gray Design team, the superyacht is clearly inspired by the Vapor GT supercar, a futuristic hypercar concept with angular and angular features, and form a pair with guaranteed aesthetic impact. In addition to the Vapor GT, Gray Design said it wanted to create a "coordinated ensemble of extreme vehicles for land and sea," and that's exactly what it has done with the Kraken yacht.
Bad for fast surfing through the waves
The Kraken is a 75m long catamaran, with a beach club at the rear and a helipad at the front. The "windshield" acts as a skylight over the large covered saloon, while the rudder and control cabin are located above, in a raised position. From a chromatic point of view, the boat has dark teak upholstery, shiny silver surfaces and bright red inserts. In addition to her striking appearance, this superyacht is also fast, capable of reaching a top speed of 35 knots.
The Vapor GT supercar
As mentioned, the inspiration for the creation of Kraken comes from the Vapor GT, an equally extreme and daring two-seater supercar, also designed by Gray Design. There is nothing sober or demure about the styling of the Vapor GT, with every detail and element drawing attention to a supercar whose exterior surfaces appear to have been sculpted by the wind.
The open design features glass airfoils at the front and rear of the car. Two huge air intakes also stand out on the front. To move the Vapor GT, which weighs less than 900 kg, a 2.0-liter supercharged engine was chosen which would allow the concept to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.2 seconds.
The Vapor GT, whose design also involved those involved in the development of the Bugatti Veyron and which promises a driving experience of the highest level, will be built in the future, in limited numbers and at the "right price" (for the moment not specified) as explained by Gray Design. The cost of the Kraken superyacht, on the other hand, should exceed 5 million dollars.
